Thursday the 8th January 2015 was a turning point for Chard Royal Naval Association’s Secretary,
S/M Roy Lovell, on retiring from his post after 28 years of dedicated service. Roy is a founder member of the Branch and has seen the changes as he progressed from quill to word processor and now at the young age of 79 years felt it was time to hand over the reigns.
To enable Roy to take his well-earned rest S/M Gary Pennells from Crewkerne and S/M Anne Allin from Chard are taking on the role jointly to enable the Branch to continue.
