Conference 2011

Conference 2011

What a great conference we had in Plymouth. The Guildhall was a very sumptuous venue, to suit the important business in hand. The conference was opened by the Lord Mayor of Plymouth and Rear Admiral David Steel gave the keynote address. He reminded the delegates and observers that the Royal Navy was facing a tough time with redundancies and called for the RNA’s help in making the transition to Civilian life for these boys and girls as easy as possible what is now know as the Shipmates Campaign which I will brief on in an upcoming circular. The National President, Treasurer, Chair and Vice Chair made their reports, with good tough questions from the floor. The morning finished with the Mindworks presentation on the new Corporate image and examples of the new materials.

Finally even if you wern't told Conference was held in Guz. Just look at the amount of Oggies being consumed. Ron Dewdney must have made a mint !
