Ferndown Branch have a new model for attracting new members an it involves getting Shipmates married and then signing up their new wives!! Incredibly the branch have already helped to celebrate one wedding on the 17th May between S/m A/B Steve Farmer (HMS Tireless) and S/m Hannah Collect-Simpson who were married at a
local Church. Shipmate Steve was serving in HMS Tireless, which was taking part in the search for the missing Malaysian plane and despite his best efforts to escape the net the Navy flew him back from Perth, Australia in time for the wedding!.
Shipmate Lt Liam Andrews who is also a member at Ferndown RNA and his Fiancee S/m Alice Chatfield, were married on Thursday 7th August 2014. I think you will all agree that having a wedding take place in a RNA Branch nowadays is unusual to have two in three months
