A service was held at the National Memorial Arboretum on 3rd October 2021 to remember 828 British prisoners of war who died when the Lisbon Maru was torpedoed by an American submarine during the Second World War.
The Memorial was unveiled by Vice Patron Vice Admiral John McAnally CB LVO
National Chairman Keith Ridley laid a wreath on behalf of the Royal Navy and RNA. General Secretary Captain Bill Oliphant was also in attendance.
