Plymouth Naval Heritage Centre Open Day

On Monday 6th. of May, Plymouth Branch laid out our stand for the Plymouth Naval Heritage Centre Open Day, We invited TS Manadon Sea Cadets to share part of our stand with us, and several Sea Cadets and Royal Marine Cadets attended. Several hundred visitors had a great day viewing all the attractions, including guided tours of HMS Conquerer, the decommisioned nuclear submarine.
A good number visited our stand with the prospects of several new members. The event was opened by the Lord Mayor of Plymouth, Cllr Michael Wright,ex RN and served among others on HMS Hermes. He was accompanied by the Commander of the Naval Base, Devonport, Cdre Graeme Little OBE ADC.
On visiting our stand we reminded them that "Once Navy -Always Navy" as seen in our photo. With the weather as pleasant as it was, everyone had a thoroughly enjoyable day.
