We're Hiring! Are you our new Wellbeing Programme Assistant?

The Royal Naval Association (RNA) is seeking to recruit an experienced Wellbeing/Welfare Programme Assistant, possessing a broad range of skills, who is; well-motivated, adaptable, versatile, can act independently, has established connections within the Naval family and possesses Office, IT, and comprehensive administration skills. 
 

WPA Role Responsibilities

·         Assist the Wellbeing Programme Manager in developing and delivering robust Wellbeing Programmes to RNA members – currently Project Sparko and Project Semaphore with additional projects being explored 

·         Act as point of contact for beneficiaries for RNA Wellbeing Projects, promoting and encouraging participation

·         Support data and statistical analysis gathering for monitoring purposes and the creation of Impact Reports / external funding reports / annual reports

·         Support delivery of the Welfare Seminar to RNA Welfare Officers

·         Support regular RNA National and ad hoc events

·         Attend project planning meetings with external partners

·         Provide admin support to the CEO especially in regard to Wellbeing Programme development

 

Skills and Knowledge  

Essential

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, together with a courteous, flexible, and helpful approach to engaging with people at all levels.
  • Ability to work flexibly on own initiative without supervision when required, and to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Organised approach to work, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage a diverse workload, prioritise tasks, and deliver work to agreed deadlines.
  • Ability to take the initiative, be creative, and solution focused.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint),
  • Excellent inter-personal skills and good team working skills.
  • A pride in and respect for the Royal Navy and an appreciation of its traditions, characteristics, and workings.
  • Willingness and ability to deputise for the Wellbeing Programme Manager when required.
     

Desirable

  • Awareness and understanding of the role of charitable trusts and foundations
  • An understanding of, and empathy with the work of the Service Charities.
  • Knowledge of Royal Navy and possessing strong Navy wide contacts.
  • Knowledge of Data Based systems/Project Management systems (Prince2)
