The Portland Branch hosted the No 4 Area meeting in May which was well attended by other branches from the area. Guests included the Portland Town Mayor Rob Wild and the area Padre Russen Thomas. The meeting appeared to be a great success followed by an excellent buffet lunch with the bar open for much needed refreshments.
A Social Evening was arranged in the club which included another excellent buffet and entertainment for those members who decided to stay over and dance the night away.
We would like to thank Peter Shoesmith, Dave Prowse and other shipmates from the Branch who attended to help with the arrangements, providing refreshments, selling raffle tickets and meeting and greeting our guests to Portland.
We even managed a lovely sunny day for the event with the RNA flag flying proudly above the Conservative Club announcing our event.
