Shipmates…. Hot of the Press …………. By popular demand Uckers is back, so get those dice up and loaded you six throwing people!
This years event will take place in No 5 Boathouse, courtesy of RNRMC, which is the second building on the right as you enter the dockyard through Victory Gate at the Hard. (Portsmouth Harbour Railway Station)
This year there will be singles and doubles
competitions. The single competition will play for the Tacky Two Cup, which is a replacement
for the original Taku Cup which remains in the Submarine Museum
There are already over 20 teams entered so we are now inviting anyone else who would like to enter the
singles or doubles competition to email Wally Blagden at - [email protected] and he will register your entry.
Church Notices
• Unfortunately, there will be no parking available within the Naval Base on this occasion with the exception of Disabled Blue-Badge holders, who need to let us know in advance.
There is plenty of parking around the Hard area and access will be through Victory Gate via a security bag check by the Naval Museum staff.
• Refreshment will be available as last year with sandwich lunch!
• Rules will be as last year. A few competitors last year were unhappy with round table ‘coaching' but the Committee felt that We would appeal to ‘Gentelmanly / Womanley conduct in relationship to coaching would be observed and that anyone could call for an official to observe to ensure that there is no excessive coaching taking place.
• Fancy Dress / Banyan / Team Uckers Kit as very much encouraged and a prize will be awarded to the best Team / Individual.
Let’s bring The World Champions ‘The Ludo Two’ down a peg or two they are already practising…………. And
claiming another victory is certain this year!
